MEDEVAC Programme in Rwanda
The MEDEVAC Programme started to operate in Rwanda in autumn 2022 when a reconnaissance mission was sent there, and the first mission was carried out in spring of the following year. Emphasis is placed on education – the Rwandan party is particularly interested in increasing their own healthcare capacities on a long-term basis and in expanding their expertise. The developmental aspect with an emphasis on training and sharing the Czech know-how is especially significant here. The training programme, which combines practice and theory, is tailor-made in collaboration with the Rwandan Ministry of Health, new partner hospitals and Czech physicians.

2023
- deployment of medical teams specialising in gynaecology, plastic surgery and traumatology in cooperation with the Bulovka University Hospital, the Královské Vinohrady University Hospital and the General University Hospital
- educational stays of healthcare professionals from Rwanda in the Czech Republic
