MEDEVAC Programme in Nepal
The MEDEVAC Programme was implemented in Nepal in the years 2016 and 2017. In addition to a donation, 2 trainings took place there with a focus on educating experts in the field of basic treatment of traumas.
The MEDEVAC Programme is currently not active in Nepal.
2016
- purchase of one ambulance vehicle and equipment for a medical emergency room; this donation was followed up by trainings implemented by the MEDEVAC Programme in 2017
2017
- the training (General University Hospital in Prague) of 8 monks and 4 nuns from the Dhagpo Sheydrub Ling Buddhist Monastery, which provides basic medical treatments in those areas where primary health care is not available; the main purpose of the course was to teach the basic types of treatment for the most common types of injuries
- the follow-up training of the medical staff in the Dhagpo Sheydrub Ling Monastery; the training was also provided in the Hasanta female monastery and was attended by 15 female monks
