MEDEVAC Programme in Morocco
The MEDEVAC Programme was active in Morocco from 2016 to 2020. Two surgical missions were carried out there with a focus on children with heart defects, during which a total of 23 child patients underwent surgeries. Furthermore, in the years 2016-2019, educational stays of healthcare professionals from Moroccan hospitals took place in the Czech Republic in three specialised medical fields. An online infectology training was planned in order to reduce post-surgical infections.
The MEDEVAC Programme is currently not active in Morocco.
2016 - 2017
- deployment of a medical team (paediatric heart surgery) from the Motol University Hospital to the Moroccan hospital Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Hassan II
2016 - 2019
- reconnaissance trips were undertaken by teams from the Motol University Hospital and the Bulovka University Hospital in the specialised fields of paediatric heart surgery and paediatric orthopaedics in order to establish cooperation with Moroccan hospitals

- an educational stay of healthcare professionals from the partner hospital took place in the Czech Republic in the Motol University Hospital in the field of paediatric heart surgery

- an educational stay of healthcare professionals from the partner hospital took place in the Czech Republic in the Královské Vinohrady University Hospital in the field of plastic surgery
- an educational stay of healthcare professionals from the partner hospital took place in the Czech Republic in the Bulovka University Hospital in the field of plastic surgery

- an online training session with a focus on reducing post-surgical infections, during which 7 persons received the training
