MEDEVAC Programme in Mali

The MEDEVAC Programme was implemented in Mali only in the year 2021, specifically in the form of a humanitarian donation made to improve maternal and neonatal health care, to raise awareness about female genital mutilation among the local community and to prevent Covid-19 in the Ségou region.

The MEDEVAC Programme is currently not active in Mali.

2021 - 2022

  • As part of the project, 10 medical facilities were equipped with medical supplies and equipment for obstetric and neonatal medical care. The project also included training medical staff and raising awareness among young people about the risks associated with female genital mutilation, about hygiene and prevention against Covid-19. The awareness raising efforts took place in schools as well as on the occasion of soccer matches. Implementation of the project was concluded in October 2022.
